Embraer · Midsize jet
Praetor 500
The only midsize jet with full fly-by-wire — corner-to-corner Australia, non-stop, in a cabin from the class above.
Transcontinental Australia and trans-Tasman flying for up to eight, in the newest midsize cabin.
Embraer built the Praetor 500 to end the midsize compromise. It is the only aircraft in its class flown entirely by wire — with active turbulence reduction borrowed from the airliner world — and the only one to pair a six-foot flat-floor cabin with a vacuum lavatory and a 5,800-foot cabin altitude at its 45,000-foot ceiling.
Certified in 2019, every Praetor 500 in the sky is young. With 3,340 nautical miles of range it crosses Australia corner to corner without a stop, and its short-field figures — under 2,850 feet of runway for a 1,000-mile trip — keep island and regional strips on the table.

Frequently asked
Can a Praetor 500 fly Perth to Sydney non-stop?
Comfortably — about 1,775 nautical miles in roughly four hours ten minutes, with margin for the longest domestic pairs including Perth–Brisbane. Trans-Tasman and Sydney–Bali sit well within its 3,340-nautical-mile range; Sydney–Singapore direct is beyond it, and we plan a stop.
What makes the Praetor 500 different from other midsize jets?
It is the only midsize with full fly-by-wire flight controls, which actively smooth turbulence through the sidesticks, and the only one combining a flat six-foot cabin, stone flooring options and a vacuum lavatory. Cabin altitude holds at 5,800 feet at the ceiling — the best in class.
How much does a Praetor 500 cost to charter?
As with every JETPAX journey, there is no tariff — the figure depends on positioning, routing and your dates. Send the trip and a firm, all-inclusive quotation comes back within the hour.
How many passengers does it carry?
Up to nine with the optional two-place divan; seven or eight is the typical executive arrangement, with the four club seats berthing into two beds for longer sectors. Ka-band connectivity streams at up to 16 Mbps throughout.
