The Citation Excel began the 560XL dynasty: a Citation X-derived stand-up fuselage on a straight supercritical wing, creating the midsize jet with light-jet field manners that went on to dominate its segment — at one point holding roughly sixty per cent of it.
As the family's original, it is the accessible entry to the same cabin the XLS+ flies today — identical cross-section, earlier cockpit and engines, and the east-coast mission flown at the friendliest 560XL figure.

How does the Excel differ from the XLS and XLS+?
