Cessna · Midsize jet
Citation XLS+
The best-selling business jet family in its class — midsize comfort with light-jet manners on short runways.
Regional and middle-distance charter for up to eight, from runways midsize jets rarely reach.
The Citation XLS+ is the aircraft that made the midsize cabin ubiquitous. Part of Cessna's 560XL series — past its 1,000th delivery and more than five million fleet hours — it pairs a genuine stand-up cabin with runway performance closer to a light jet's, opening strips that most midsize aircraft simply cannot use.
The result is one of charter's great all-rounders: seven or eight travellers, a proper lavatory, the class's largest external baggage hold, and a 3,560-foot take-off run that keeps regional aerodromes on the itinerary.

What it’s for
Flown best for
Regional flexibility
A 3,560-foot take-off run keeps shorter regional strips in play — arrivals closer to where you are actually going.
The mid-length sector
Two-to-three-hour legs — trans-Tasman, capital to capital — flown standing up, with a proper lavatory.
Luggage-heavy trips
The class's biggest external hold swallows six golf bags or ski gear without compromise.

Frequently asked
Can a Citation XLS+ fly Sydney to Auckland non-stop?
Yes — the Tasman crossing is about 1,165 nautical miles, roughly two hours fifty minutes, and sits comfortably inside the XLS+'s range with reserves. Melbourne–Perth is achievable too, though strong winter westerlies can call for a fuel stop with a full cabin.
How many passengers does the XLS+ seat?
Up to nine, with seven or eight the typical executive fit — a centre club four, forward and aft singles, and a fully enclosed aft lavatory that is belted for use as the ninth seat. Cabin height and width match the larger Citation Sovereign.
How much does it cost to charter a Citation XLS+?
There is no tariff — each journey is priced individually against the aircraft's positioning, your routing and your dates. Tell us the trip and we will return a firm, all-inclusive quotation within the hour.
XLS+ or a light jet — how do I choose?
Stand-up headroom, an enclosed lavatory and baggage decide it. Under two hours with a small party, a CJ2+ or Phenom is the considered economy; beyond that — or with six-plus travellers, golf bags or skis — the XLS+'s cabin and 80-cubic-foot hold earn the step up.
