The CJ3+ kept everything the CJ3 got right and modernised the rest: a Garmin G3000 touchscreen flight deck — the first in this class of the line — a refreshed cabin, and a maximum range stretched to 2,040 nautical miles. Its successor, the CJ3 Gen2, entered service in 2026 with autothrottle and cabin upgrades on the same trusted airframe.
For charter it is the light jet at its most current: Perth–Sydney eastbound non-stop, the Tasman with margin, and the CJ line's signature economics — flown behind avionics that would not look out of place two classes up.

Eastbound, yes — about 1,760 nautical miles, around four hours ten minutes, inside its 2,040-nautical-mile maximum range. Westbound against the prevailing winds generally plans a brief fuel stop, and we say so up front.
What is the difference between the CJ3 and CJ3+?
The airframe and engines carry over; the CJ3+ added the Garmin G3000 touchscreen flight deck, updated systems and a refreshed interior. The current-production CJ3 Gen2 adds autothrottle and cabin connectivity upgrades to the same formula.
