The Falcon 2000 took the 900's celebrated cross-section — six-foot-two of height, seven-foot-eight of width — and matched it to two engines and the missions most operators actually flew. It was also a landmark of engineering method: the first business jet Dassault designed entirely digitally, with no physical mock-up at all.
Nearly thirty years on, the classic remains what it was at launch — the honest way into a widebody Falcon cabin — with around 230 still working, largely in North American charter, and a dispatch record operators reported at ninety-nine per cent.

How far can the original Falcon 2000 fly?
Just over 3,000 nautical miles with four aboard — Perth, the Tasman and Bali comfortably. Sydney–Singapore is beyond it; that mission belongs to the EX, LX and LXS that followed.
How does it differ from the later 2000EX and LXS?
Engines and reach, chiefly — the classic's CFE738s give continental range where the EX's PW308Cs stretch toward four thousand miles. The cabin cross-section is identical throughout the line; a passenger steps into the same room.
