Global 5500
The new-generation 5000 — Pearl engines, Nuage seats, and the family's most gracious short-field manners.
5,900-mile missions in the newest-generation cabin — when the calendar allows it at all.
The Global 5500 takes the 5000's right-sized mission and rebuilds it with the new generation's hardware: Rolls-Royce Pearl 15 engines burning seven per cent less, a re-profiled wing, patented Nuage seats, and a four-suite cabin finished to the same standard as the flagship 7500.
In service since 2020 and built in small numbers, it is very much an owner's aircraft — scarce in charter, and all the more special when the calendar aligns. Its 5,340-foot take-off run is the family's shortest, opening fields the bigger Globals decline.

Frequently asked
How far can a Global 5500 fly?
5,900 nautical miles at Mach 0.85 with eight aboard — Perth–Dubai and Sydney–Delhi comfortably, and every Asian capital non-stop. Sydney–Johannesburg sits just beyond it, and we say so rather than promise it.
What is new about the 5500 compared with the Global 5000?
The generation: Pearl 15 engines with about seven per cent better fuel burn, a re-profiled wing, the Nuage seat — the first new business-aviation seat architecture in three decades — and a cabin brought up to the 7500's standard, with four suites and Soleil-style finishings.
Can I charter a Global 5500?
Rarely — the fleet is small and largely privately held, so we arrange it opportunistically and propose the deep-fleet Global 6000 as the dependable alternative for the same missions. When a 5500 is available, it is worth the wait.
